Päivän aikana kuulemme historian lisäksi paikallistarinoita sekä vierailemme Ylöjärven alueen neljässä kirkossa, niiden yhteydessä sijaitsevilla sankarihautausmailla, Koveron perinnetilalla sekä Haverin kultakaivoksella.

Guided Day Trip in Ylöjärvi

Join a guided day trip exploring the history, churches and cultural heritage of Ylöjärvi, Kuru and Viljakkala.

The tour begins at Ylöjärvi Church, where we learn about the church and local history. We then travel by bus to Kuru Church and Aurejärvi Church, with stories about the local area along the way.

At the old village shop in Itä-Aure, we enjoy a soup lunch and hear local stories. We continue to Kovero Crown Tenant Farm in Seitseminen National Park, where we explore the historic farm and enjoy coffee or tea with a sweet bun.

In Viljakkala, we visit the Haveri Gold Mine, including approximately a 700-metre walking section, followed by a visit to Viljakkala Church.

Return to Ylöjärvi at approximately 17:30–18:00.

We recommend weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
